Whether you’re just starting out or looking to build on your skills, Wolcott Farms offers riding and driving lessons for all ages and experience levels. Our program goes beyond just riding—students learn true horsemanship, including grooming, tacking, groundwork, obstacle work, and safety for both horse and rider. Our goal is to build confident, knowledgeable riders who form strong partnerships with their horses. We offer both private and group lessons in Western, English, and driving. Lessons are held year-round in our indoor arena and outside when weather allows. Our arenas include obstacles and hands-on challenges that help riders build confidence, balance, and real communication with their horse. We can accommodate groups of 10–15 riders, making it perfect for group programs and team experiences.
The Integrated Riding Program at Wolcott Farms is designed specifically to support individuals of all abilities, including those with special needs. Our mission is to provide a safe, welcoming, and fun environment where riders can learn and grow through horsemanship.
Riders benefit not only from the joy of being around horses but also from improvements in coordination, balance, flexibility, and muscle strength all while building confidence and life skills.
Students of all ages and experience levels are welcome. Everyone starts in a calm and quiet setting as they become comfortable and develop their skills at their own pace. As they progress we move out of the arena to our obstacle course, or outdoor arena.
We also offer unique learning experiences including:
Sleigh or Wagon Ride Lessons: $250 for a 30-minute ride
Instructional Guided Horseback Rides: $150 per person
This program is proudly supported by our nonprofit, Horses Healing Hearts WNY, which is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with special needs through therapeutic and inclusive equestrian experiences.

Have you always wanted to learn how to drive a horse or even a team of horses? At Wolcott Farms, we offer hands-on horse-drawn driving lessons that are designed for beginners as well as those looking to expand their horsemanship skills.
Our driving lessons begin with the basics of safety and communication, including how to properly harness a horse and ground drive. As skills progress, students learn how to hook a horse safely to the cart and develop confidence behind the lines. Riders will have the opportunity to drive a single horse and, when ready, advance to driving a team of horses.
Private Driving Lessons (Single or Team): $100 per hour
